What should I look at first?
Color, clarity and cut are the three key characteristics. Our diamond guide explains how each is graded.
Which certificates do you recommend comparing?
Compare diamonds graded by the same laboratory. GIA and AGS set the industry standard for credible grading.
Does fluorescence matter?
Rarely. It is not part of a color or clarity grade, and only about 2 percent of diamonds are estimated to be negatively affected by it.
